WAI. MC-3703
MC-3073Previous was set as WAI over 3 years ago. This "feature" is making quite hard to aim "invisible" flowers next to "visible" ones. I would leave this open to look at it again for Mojang. Maybe they changed mind like in some other places.
I don't think this can be fixed, for example grass sometimes even reaches beyond the block, so it could overlap with the hitbox of the block next to it
