MC-9921.4.2 Items invisible!
Every time I play on single player or multiplayer survival all of the new 1.4 items are invisible. When I go into creative mode the anvils are transparent and have a red checkered pattern. The leather armor seems to have other pictures mixed in with them... it's really confusing.

Do you use a texture pack or any mods ?
Sounds like you are using a texture pack not updated for 1.4.x
Almost definitely a texture-pack issue. Please try again using the default texture pack and see if it continue to be an issue. Comment here if the issue goes away.
