MCD-3584Characters wiped
Sorry to say, but this is INSANE to have such a bug for a full release!
My daughter was playing as 2nd controller on PS4 and when connecting to a game run by my account on single screen, her 130lvl character is WIPED!
I think this is due to the fact that she wanted to add a new character and by adding a new one, the game overwrote the 130lvl save!
The girl is in tears, with all progress lost.
Congratulations Mojang! Worst Bug in my entire life goes to you!

I've had the same experience multiple times playing with my 5 year old son.
He said "it's like the GAME is the boss!"
It's wiped his character three times and mine once. Sometimes the game will say that the data is corrupted, other times the character will suddenly restart at level 1, and sometimes the save file will simply vanish and no characters will appear for their profile.
We both really enjoyed playing - especially since this is the first video game we've really gotten to play together, but this is a highly frustrating bug that's preventing us from continuing to enjoy the game.

MCD-1142, it's upon restarting the game. In my case, it was upon the second player leaving and rejoining later.Also, 1142 seems to be attributed to avast cleanup software on a PC. Viktors and I were playing on Playstation 4.
The issues are similar in that they both involved deleting / wiping save data, but they're distinct in that
MCD-1142involves the save file location being deemed "junk" by a 3rd party program whereas this one is a game console corrupting or wiping save files for some other reason.Confirm no game restart here. The issue happens when 1st player already in game and 2nd player joins mid-game.
Also, please note that 2nd player cannot delete characters only join or add a new and exactly by adding new you are wiping the latest character.
Lost a 30lvl character but could not figure out why, this time it's clearly because of new character joining mid-game.
Also, I think if just pressed new character on 2nd game pad and in skin selection, the old character already wiped. You can't go back and not save the new character. It's already gone.
