Can confirm this occurs on Nintendo Switch as well
I can guess that the game doesnt think it is a new level, so if you have beaten soggy swamp DT, and then it comes back at a later date, the game checks and you have already beaten soggy swamp DT, so it gets the beaten checkmark.
