Since Flames of the Nether update Switch version is extremely choppy
On previous versions, the game would occasionally be choppy during a mission. I'd say this should have been fixed or lessened ideally but didn't detract too much from the game being fun.
Since 1.8.0.0, the game the inverse is happening. On a mission the game is consistently very chopping and will occasionally not be choppy. In camp the game is even being choppy a decent amount (not as much as on a mission, but still choppy about 1/2 the time).
This really makes the game largely unplayable and takes what I thought was a pretty polished game and makes it seem like a lesser quality game.
I have the physical game (but obviously updates are installed to sd card, I use a 128 gig Samsung evo select U3 rated). I have tried doing a power off and restart and the issue still persists (holding the power button for 5 seconds to get the power menu and choosing both restart or power off).
I've also tried with my save file as well as my daughter's with the same result.
To add clarity, when I say choppy I mean normally (pre 1.8 version) the game felt like it ran at a smooth 30 frames with only occasional frame drops, but now it feels more like 15-20 with even bigger drops more consistently.
