MCD-5715Save file exists but character does not appear in game
i got logged out of the game, and when i logged back in my character disappeared. i checked the save characters file and the file exists, yet when i enter the game it does not appear in the hero selection and i cannot choose it.
my file is the bigger in size than the other 2 saves (220 kb) since i played on it most of the time, yet i can only see the other two characters in game.

My 10-year-old has the same issue. Tried moving the DAT file to another machine and connecting to the game there but it won't come up in the hero select there either.

We are currently working on implementing cross saves and cloud saves, which should hopefully help in avoiding issues like this in the future. This is described in this article.
We're tracking this issue in
MCD-1142, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate. If you would like to add a vote and any extra information to the main ticket, it would be appreciated.Unfortunately we do not have the tools necessary to restore lost progress at this time.
