MCL-10518[OSX] "Failed to load URL mojang://launcher/index.html with error (-2)."
Whenever we click the minecraft application, a blank white screen opens with the text "Failed to load URL mojang://launcher/index.html with error (-2)." on it. The screen name itself is "mojang://launcher/index.html".
Any insight would be appreciated, thank you.

However, this issue is a Duplicate of MCL-10518.
That ticket has already been resolved as Fixed. The fix will arrive in the next version or is already included in the latest development version of the game, you can check the Fix Version/s field in that ticket to learn more.

Did you find any solution to this problem, cause mine is saying the same, when i open the launcher?
Please try to reinstall the launcher and report back if this resolves the issues.
I FOUND ONE.... After weeks of struggling.
i checked my game files (on a macbook) . and found my old worlds still saved. after erasing them. logging back into my account. minecraft launcher worked perfectly.
if your also on mac. go to finder --> at the top right click "go", hold alt button key. click library. go to application support --> erase the minecraft folder. erase all dmgs, applications etc. and reinstall it all, also from trash. then reinstall it all. and if it doesnt work. i dont know what to do. hope this helps
Hi I've been having the same issue. When I open the launcher I am presented with a white screen displaying the text:
mojang://launcher/index.html with error ERR_FAILED (-2).
I have restarted my computer, deleted all my old minecraft files, and reinstalled minecraft and I am still hit with the same error code. I have not found a single piece of useful information as to how to fix it and I would really appreciate any help getting the game running again.
I have the same issue too. But, I haven't played Minecraft in computer before. I downloaded it for the first time but when I open the Minecraft launcher it says that message:
Failed to load URL mojang://launcher/index.html with error ERR_FAILED (-2).
I tried everything to fix it like restarting my computer, restarting the download, but it still displays this message. I'm not quite sure how to fix it so can someone pls help me.
benny boy I tried your thing but I think mac has updated. Can you make a youtube tutorial video or something I really don't want to have to pay for Minecraft or some other crap
