Hi,
No I haven't changed the modified hosts file. The helper only made me do a check I sent a document via Ubantu. I followed but then the helper said we can't do anything. So, this is why I still cannot do it. Are there any mroe fixes? If they are not, then it is fine.

It's been a week and I haven't gotten any update about my issue. Please let me know of why this is happening. I reported this on 12th August. And It has almost been 2 weeks. At minimum, I would just like to have an update.

Could you try deleting the file at %appdata%\.minecraft\launcher_skins.json ? The launcher appears to have some trouble reading it, which could be because of the file being corrupted.
I don't have a file named launcher_skins.json. I only have launcher_profiles.json and launcher_settings.json.

I've looked through your chat logs on community support, and I've noticed that there are still a plethora of fixes that we could try. Notably, have you fixed the modified hosts file? A helper provided you with the fix, but I am unsure if you were able to follow through with it.

I'll copy what I usually send, see if this fixes your issue:
Alt account generators are illegal programs that are known to cause issues with logging in and connection to mojang servers. If you have used theAltening, please tell me, as it requires additional steps. To fix such issues, first remove the alt generator (a file located in your downloads folder).
You'll then need to fix your hosts file:
Press the Windows key + R key at the same time and type powershell -command "Start-Process notepad "$env:windir\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" -Verb runas in the window that opens. Answer Yes/OK when a UAC window pops up
You'll now be faced with a file named "hosts". Find all lines containing "mojang", and delete the entire lines
Ex:
Save the file, and try logging in.
If this works, change your password, and please don't use such programs again.

hello im having this problem too and i just downloaded minecraft please help
and I don't have any alt accounts or anything I looked the skin issue up and it said I need a VPN so I downloaded a VPN and it banned me from hypixel server so I stopped using VPN and also while I was using VPN my skins were working but then I got banned.
please reply its been 3 days i know its not a lot but i just want my skins back
its been 2 weeks please help
ok so I recently joined a SMP and all my friends skins arent showing and neither are the heads that are dropped they are all just steve or alex skins but I can see my skin and and my head and also I cant see my skin when on the launcher still
and right now i see that it says that it is opened and resolved but it still isn't working

its been like 2 months
