When the game launches, the launcher does not fully quit [macOS]
If you launch Minecraft on mcOS, the launcher is supposed to quit. It appears to, the indicator dot in the dock vanishes, but if you look in Activity Monitor you will see that the Minecraft Launcher process continues to run until the game is quit. This means that if the game crashes or you try to open the launcher while the game is running (for example to change skins) the launcher doesn't focus properly and, if there are other windows on the desktop it always moves to the back and it also does not show in the alt-tab screen. The only way to fix it is by quitting the process in Activity Monitor.

Yes, the launcher remains open in the background after clicking "Play" to make sure it can catch crashes and inform you about them. In order to keep the launcher open, select "Keep the launcher open while games are running" in the Settings. I'm not sure where the issue is here.
The problem is that the window doesn't properly come OUT of the background if you open it while the game is running and so it doesn't show in Alt-Tab and it doesn't show as open and it also doesn't focus correctly, as shown in my video. Maybe I badly worded the issue but there is definitely a problem of some sort.
Hi there!
Does this issue still occur on the newest version of the Launcher?
