MCL-15652Disabling Wi-Fi while the Microsoft login page is open without any information entered and pressing the Back button results in -106 error message
The bug
If Wi-Fi is disabled while a user is on the Microsoft login page and has not entered any information, and presses the Back button, an HTML error message is given that reads along the lines of: Failed to load URL https://login.live.com/oauth20_authorize and then a big number that I will not say in case it contains personal information, and then: with error ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED (-106).
I would expect that if the Back button is pressed when no information has been entered, even if there is no connection, then the window would just close, or at least not present an error message like that.
How to reproduce
- Open the Minecraft Launcher in 2.2.546 or 2.2.550 (possibly 2.2.548 too) with Wi-Fi enabled
- Sign out of your account
- Select the Microsoft Login button: you will be presented with a Microsoft login screen
- Disable Wi-Fi on your computer
- Press the Back button

The bug
When reproducing MCL-15652 in 2.2.116x, the user is presented with the following message, instead of what was previously given:
However, the word 'Reload' is in the incorrect position. If this was moved to the end of the sentence, it would make sense, as 'try again' would be together and 'Reload' would not interrupt the sentence.
This happens whenever you try accessing web pages through the launcher, but lack internet connection. There isn't much the launcher can do here, but we can put some makeup on this page and give you an option to try again. Technically WAI + feedback request, but I'll keep it open for tracking purposes.
I am changing this behavior, see the screenshot.
We've added a retry option now. Assuming you end up in this state, retrying when you have connection will load the page properly (which in this case will resolve to closing the sign-in window). Should be released early next year!
