MCL-16097I bought Minecraft and it only lets me play the demo
I had to buy a digital code on amazon in order to buy java edition because it wasn't letting me buy it normally. I bought the code, signed in, bought Minecraft java through redeeming the code, downloaded the Minecraft launcher, and still can't play the game. It only lets me play the demo. I searched everything up but it seems no one has run into my problem, i have also linked my account to the launcher so that isn't the problem.

i have the same issue i cant seem to get out of demo mode after i bought minecraft java twice i tried everything so far and download the launcher went in it and it still said play in demo something is wrong and they need to make a new way to make it easier than hurting our heads
Could you please verify that if you sign in on https://www.minecraft.net/ it says that you own the game? If so, log out and log in again in the launcher and you should be able to play.
I logged out on minecraft.net and the launcher and when I logged back into minecraft.net it said that I no longer have the game, and when I logged back into the launcher it still only gives me the option of playing the demo, and I know that I did have the game before because in minecraft.net it gave me the option of customizing my skin, but now it doesn't.
Same problem but I actually bought it on the minecraft site and have the same problem

I have the same problem but I didn't buy it with digital code. I had the game but one day I identified after a long time and both the launcher and mc.net says that I don't have it.
This report is invalid as this is an account issue and the bug tracker does not have the appropriate resources to help you with this problem. Please read through https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360029643892-Can-only-play-Minecraft-demo-Java-Edition- and if this doesn't fix the issue, please contact Mojang Support for assistance.
If you've bought the game recently, note that you need to log in with a Microsoft account, not with a Mojang account.
