MCL-20708It also might be useful to note that my installation was working just fine the morning before I made the report, and I've made no configuration changes or updates or anything between the launcher working and this. I'm running Ubuntu with Cinnamon though, not Arch
I gave a go with some older versions of the minecraft-launcher on arch linux, and the most recent version this doesnt seem to occur on is 0e2e2167c minecraft-launcher aur, before they go into 3 digit update numbers.
Same thing is happening on Linux Mint, worked just a few days ago when I played last.
When running from terminal I get:
```
I do not want to hate but besides the new launcher does not work installed in countries that do not have xbox game pass and not to mention that I had to install it from the official site of mojang, after all this I had to install windows 8/7 launcher.msi, and finally the piece of resistance that made me write this review is the fact that on version 1.18 of the Windows 7/8 launcher your skin is not loaded, neither online nor offline, I hope these bugs should be fixed within 25 days
I re-downloaded the launcher (minecraft.tar.gz), but this does not change anything. The new one is ~4 time smaller though.
By experimenting more, I've found a fix on all computers. Normally I start the launcher as:
minecraft-launcher --workDir $PWD/data
If I run it once without any args and the exit the lanucher, it works again with the args.
Hi there!
Please, attach the launcher_log file.
Have you checked if the Launcher process appears at the task manager and then force quit it?
Could you try to reinstall the Launcher? After deleting it, find .minecraft and delete the file - what is important that this file should be deleted from the trash bin, because corrupted files from the old .minecraft file may interract with the newly generated .minecraft file.
