MCPE-10049Diorite, Andesite and Granite Can be used as Stone to Craft Slabs
I could not craft stone steps, but, as in the screenshots, I can craft stone slabs from diorite, andesite and granite (or from any combination of diorite, andesite, granite or cobblestone when using the MATTIS crafting system). On win10 (using the PC crafting system) stone slabs can be crafted from any combinations of these materials except for cobblestone. Strange.

These can also be used to craft repeaters and comparators as well as stone slabs using the Windows 10 PC crafting system, which creates an inconsistency between versions (See ticket MCPE-25191 for this issue).

Thanks Marcus, I've resolved as a duplicate because of the existing ticket MCPE-10049. That said, I agree with Luis that this might work as intended. Perhaps the current functionality is an intermediate step towards having different types of stone slabs (i.e. diorite slabs, granite slabs, andesite slabs, polished ____ slabs, etc.)
