Snow Covers Melt Without Reason
I placed snow covers in a biome that does not naturally have snow (Not a desert) and the snow covers that were sufficiently away from any light source melted anyways.
What I Expected To Happen Was:
The snow covers that were sufficiently away form all light sources would remain.
What Actually Happened Was:
They Melted Anyways.
Steps To Reproduce:
1. Place snow covers in a biome without natural snow and away from snow melting light sources
2. Wait
3. Witness the unjustified melting of the snow

Does this bug still appear in 0.12.2? If so please respond.
What biome was it melting in?
I'm not entirely sure because this is a pre 0.9 world that was made infinite with 0.11; however, I tried in a brand new world in some kind of forest (it had oak trees and I think birch trees) but I'm not quite sure what biome technically) and it did the same thing.
Confirm on iPad 4 I was in a snow biome in my village I made and I all a sudden see the snow melting on the roof!
I have a same problem in android device. I checked this bug in LG G2. I think this bug happened the first time on 0.12.0 beta versions for me. Need to be fixed ASAP.
Yes, unfortunately, this bug still exists in version 0.12.2.
Confirmed on iPod Touch 5g
Unfortunately this bug has not been fixed as of version 0.12.3 which was released today.
Confirmed on Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Android 5.1.1 Version: 0.13.0 Build 2
I'm in a world i created pre-0.9.0. The snow that is left is melting!
This bug has not been fixed as of 0.13.0.
This is still present in version 0.13.2
I have experimented about this bug... Does it happen only if the world is created pre 0.9.0 (Before infinite world released)? Also, my world is created since 0.6.0, snowy biome appears to be raining instead of snowing... (Also, weather error, I guess...) All region is raining. Unfortunately, this bug still exists in v0.14.0. Will this bug disappear even I change my world to infinite...? (But, still I don't want to. Guess I should backup my world and test again.)
I have also done some experimenting with this bug. It appears to happen on all worlds regardless of when they were created and whether they are infinite or not. I'm no expert by I suspect that raining where there's snow on the ground in old worlds is probably because it's not registered as a proper "cold biome". I suspect that the snow melting is intentional to control the snow levels due to the fact that in pocket edition snow accumulates during snowfall but I created this report essentially for conformation on that. It would be unfortunate but it would also make sense.
Please respond and add the current version if you can reproduce this issue.
I'm not the reporter, but noticed a comment through my e-mail, so adding it instead of the reporter. Still bug exists in version 0.15.4. Reconfirmed in LG G2, Samsung Galaxy S4 Active (All devices Android OS: Lollipop).
Unfortunately, the bug still exists in 0.15.6. This bug has been effected since 0.12.0 to all versions (including development versions) including 0.15.6.
Hope this issue is still in progress and see it fixed near update (Maybe 0.16.0). Still exists in 0.16.0 alpha build 1.
