MCPE-171974Confirming Respawn by pressing Enter softlocks the game
Description:
Upon death and when Respawn is highlighted (whether automatically or hovering the mouse over it) and pressing Enter, the game softlocks/requires to be forced closed. Clicking it however returns you to your spawn point normally.
Steps to Replicate:
1. Open a test world.
2. Enter Survival mode.
3. Commit die (can be done with commands), any method will do
4. Highlight the Respawn button.
4a. The game will highlight this for you sometimes.
4b. Hover your cursor to the Respawn button.
5. You can either:
5a. Click Respawn, or;
5b. Press Enter
Observed Results:
Pressing Enter will bring you to your spawn area, then shows you a softlocked death screen where the buttons cannot be selected, while on the other hand clicking it goes back to the game normally.
Expected Results:
Player will respawn back normally regardless of method used.

I can't reproduce. The chat opens, and after leaving it, I will respawn without blocking. Please try disabling your texture pack and see if the problem persists.
Still persistent after disabling resource packs.
Also tried other workarounds such as:
The only method that has worked is turning on Immediate Respawn, which is pretty obvious for this case.
I cannot reproduce this either. One thing that stands out in the video is that your Windows mouse cursor is visible the whole time. How did you get that to happen?
similar to what I have stated on the steps to reproduce is that I just hover the cursor over the button (during the video wherein the softlock occurs), and also, I did not use my mouse while recording, only when I've shown the hovering
otherwise I don't really know, because i don't really change much settings in the game or in my computer
as evgensyperpro said, same for me chat opens and when pressing esc you can brieflie see red from the dead screen but as soon as it shows its away
I am playing 1.20.31 release version. And this error stil exists. After death . respawn button shows up. and if i press ENTER button. Death screen doesn''t disappears. And blocks the game
