Confirmed for 0.15.90.8 on Samsung TabPro SM-T520 on Android 4.4.2
Example of MOTD that was used for testing (stole it from vanilla server): MCPE;First line;90;0.15.90.1;1;5;0;Second line;Survival;
After more testing together with the #mcpedevs guys, we figured that it only seem to affect DNS resolution. If we put in external IP it seems to work.
This bug has been reported to our internal bug tracker for further testing and a fix. It is scheduled to be fixed in one of the future updates (no specific date can be provided).

It should be fixed in the next release, sorry for the delay.
Direct IPs work perfect for example 104.128.60.84 instead of play.lbsg.net
