I apologize for my lack of knowledge on how to reproduce this glitch. I hope my YouTube video will suffice.
I also apologize for the large amount of analog drift that my controller goes through.
The realm is a standard hard world with no modifications.
Does
MCPE-170969describe your issue.I have looked at that report previously.
MCPE-170969is similar, but it describe the issue of breathing on the surface of water, while my issue was suffocating while on land. Plus there was nothing I could do to prevent my death (which would make the upcoming hard-core mode a bit more difficult)You could compare the issues with the video. Should I use screenshots to show a different perspective of my issue?
Does this occur in any other world other than on a realm?
Looks like lag to me.
From the video, it appears that the game client lost connection with the Realms server from 1:05 to 1:17, a period of 12 seconds, and then did not update the player position when it reconnected. Apparently the server did not receive any position updates from the client during that time or after it resumed sending breath and damage data, so the player suffocated in the water on the server.
While there is clearly an internet or server connection issue here, it does seem like a bug that the server can damage and kill a player while not syncing with the client for 12+ seconds straight. It ought to assume the player is disconnected and remove them from the world much sooner than that.
