When we logged into the realm, I am on a pc and my husband is on an xboxone, all our pictures were off the walls. Don't know what caused it. It happened in several buildings over a fairly vast distance.

Relates to
MCPE-11477.The related ticket describes items that attach to the sides of blocks and popping off on world reload if the item and block are in different chunks. That was fixed in 1.2.0.11, but maybe a piece of it wasn't fixed adequately for this/some platforms.
If you happen to have coordinates turned on in this world, it would be useful to know whether the paintings were attached along a chunk boundary. They were if either the X or Z coordinate of either the painting or the wall block was evenly divisible by 16.
It would also be useful to know whether item frames, ladders, levers, signs, torches, and redstone torches attached to the wall have the same problem. Note: Don't try this with items you can't afford to lose, because if you forget to pick them up within 5 minutes after loading the world, they will despawn.
