This sounds just like
MCPE-30224, which first occurred in the 1.2.9 release in January. Have you not played since then? If you haven't, this is probably the same problem, caused by third party texture packs that are out of date. Updating or deleting the texture packs will fix that problem.Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket has not been updated recently (~1 year+) so is being closed as Cannot Reproduce.
