MCPE-32546[Fixed in 1.7.0] Items cannot be dropped on top of slabs
What's Happening:
As shown below, it is nearly impossible to place items on slabs and make the stay. They are pushed towards the nearest edge.
What's Expected:
I expected items to tay on top of slabs, just like they do on full blocks.
How to reproduce:
Place a slab and drop an items on it. It should be moved to the side and fall from the slab.

That's true, but to clarify, they'll roll of the nearest side if it's not blocked, if it's blocked, it'll roll of the second nearest side, repeat until it's impossible to escape... (Example of the Video).

This is also occurring with me. No items will stay on slabs and just roll off the nearest side instead.I am also on iPad Pro and am also on version 1.2.15.
Confirmed on Windows 10 version 1.2.13.60.
