Glitch That Puts A Purple Haze on Screen and Blocks

I had recently created a world using the not yet fully released aquatic update Mojar said you could enable in the world settings.
It's only happened once, but when I clicked off the game and back onto it, random blocks in my hotbar turned purple and when you moved whatever blocks were around you would be purple, then fade to normal. The mountains where I was also had a slight purple light look to them.
