Window 10 IME stops working for Chinese/Japanese/Korean after switching to another application/window
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch Minecraft
- Select any area where you can input text (e.g. signs, crafting recipe search, anvil rename, in-game chat, creating world name, input for realm join code)
- Switch to any chinese/korean/japanese IME - you can type normally
- Switch to another window/application
- Switch back to Minecraft -> you can no longer type chinese/korean/japanese, only latin characters will appear
Workaround:
Select the input for a placed crafting table, or the expanded command input for the command block. The input will return to normal. You may need to deselect and reselect this a few times.
The issue will still occur if you again switch to another window/application

Tested on 1.14.6 Win 10, occurs when an input box is selected and then losing focus of the game window afterwards, regardless of whether the input box is still selected. Appears to affect most text input interfaces - tested include signs, crafting recipe search, anvil rename, in game chat, creating world name and inputting realm join code. May be fixed when crafting search (and command block input according to
MCPE-80693) is selected or re-selected, but can occur again in the same way.Appears to also affect Korean and Japanese, looking at other bug reports.

request for all the bugs listed previously, plus
MCPE-65040, to be linked to this reportAppears to have been fixed for Microsoft Chinese and Japanese IME after the Windows update to version 2004. Still occurs for Microsoft Korean IME and QQ Pinyin (3rd party) IME; the workaround for this remains the same. Note that these IMEs work properly outside of Minecraft.
Microsoft fixed some issues using Chinese/Japanese IMEs that were found in Windows version 2004, but it is unclear whether this bug has been partially fixed as a result: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4564002/you-might-have-issues-on-windows-10-version-2004-when-using-some-micro
Running Windows 20H2 and MC 1.16.201, the bug still occurs, but the workaround is much simpler: reopen the GUI and you can type the launguage characters again.
