Unstable Local Multiplayer
Host Device: Nexus 5 (OS v4.4.2)
Guest Device: iPhone 5 (IOS7)
Guest Device can see and join Host's world without a problem. Can play together normally for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. Guest is then kicked out of the world without warning. Host device is not informed of the guest disconnecting for ~2 minutes, and the guest cannot rejoin until the host acknowledges the guest is gone. Then the guest can rejoin and resume play again for another 5 to 10 minutes until the situation repeats itself.
Both devices were within close range of both each other and the 802.11N router. (less than 10 feet apart), and were both otherwise functioning normally.
While the game was technically playable, it was unnerving at best if caught outside at night in Survival when it happens.

FWIW, MCPE-6713 indicates Android-hosted worlds creates instability for iPhone guest players. Did not think to test the reverse (iPhone-hosted with Android guest). That issue description contains other details regarding signal strength and distance which appear to negate the concerns of a bad connection. Both phones are top-end handsets, as well, so client hardware/OS version limitations are not a likely cause either.
