Newly cured villagers spawn with a profession. They will not change profession when a work station is placed near them.
In the uploaded picture, the villager just cured from being a zombie villager spawned as a farmer even though the only workstation is a lectern.

If anyone has ever traded with that villager, it can never change profession. That is true for all villagers
No, please note the reference to "newly cured". No one has had an opportunity to trade with the villager.
I've run into this bug as well (Bedrock 1.12 on Xbox One). I cured four villagers a long way (hundreds of blocks) from any work blocks. After being cured, they had professions which never change. Note that I have not traded with them. I tried placing work blocks, but they will not change jobs.
This bug and
MCPE-48421have put my plans for my world on hold since villagers are broken.I found that baby villagers bred from cured villagers work correctly.
