On JIRA website, when pressing "current issues" of a user, the search results are always based on "assignee = (username) AND resolution is EMPTY"
Take me as an example in the screenshots.
Most of the users are not capable of being assignees, and most of the times we want to browse through the issues reported by the very user, instead of the ones assigned by them. So I wish that this search criteria could be changed. Thank you!

Use the "Reported by me" filter:
Yeah but when I want to view the issues reported by another particular person, I have to modify the search criteria after clicking "current issues". What I want to say is that this step can be omitted if the original search criteria is changed.
Mojang doesn't develop the software used for this tracker. We can't do much about this.
The reason it's like that is because usually bug trackers like this one aren't open to the public and only the people who work at the company that uses the tracker can use the tracker. Then, it's more important on which issues someone is working, and not which bugs they reported. That's also why it says "Current issues" and not "Reported issues".
Either way, this is not a bug.
Thank you very much! I didn't take much consideration into that.
You can do that very simply either by clicking on the user's name and then on "Filters" -> "Reported" in the top right corner, or you make an JQL like https://bugs.mojang.com/issues/?jql=reporter%20%3D%20HowardCChina
