Changed Description:
When you get a sword with knockback II enchantment and attack a mob above you (swimming), the mob will fly only horizontally and not vertically which looks akward.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Get a sword with Knockback II enchantment
2) Find or spawn a mob in water body
3) swim right under it and hit it with the sword
4) notice that the mob isn't knocked high into the air, but just flies horizontaly above water surfaceI also recommend helmet with Respiration enchantment so you can see through water easier.
Added Affects Versions: 1.8.1-pre3
Well I'm using czech language pack, so maybe it really is only czech related issue.
Where do these slimes spawn for you? If it is in swamp biome only, then this works as intended.
I never understood why cobwebs can't be collected with silk touch, but that's the way Mojang designed it.
This bug is there for several versions. Would be nice to finally see it fixed.
EDIT: It seems like big pieces of flowing lava act like source blocks. Flowing lava will disappear if it's "cut in this fashion:
X = stone/gravel/whathever
L = flowing lava
x|L|x|L|x
L|x|L|x|L
x|L|x|L|x
Hope you get what I mean.
Uhhhmmm... Why was this issue signed as invalid? Is it because it's a translation issue?
I confirm it for 1.4.4.
I propably wasn't specific enough.
Example 1
When you are normally on the ground and attack a mob with a sword with knockback enchantment, the mob will fly far away and very little high (just like you expected).
Example 2
On the other hand when the mob is in water, you jump into water and swim underwater right under the mob (you look between it's legs) and then attack, you would expect the mob to fly really high into the air and not far away. Instead, it flies in the exactly same way as in the example 1.
If this doesn't help then I'll try to draw it in MS Paint.
EDIT: Also when you use Knockback II its even more visible and even more akward.
Well then it seems that you (Mojang) like it the way it is. I always imagined knockback as an extra power which is added to your punch and I imagined a punch to behave close to real-life punch.
I'll try to describe it another way.
Imagine that you have a ball and throw it in front of you (that's example 1), then imagine that you throw a ball above your head (that's example 2). That's how I imagined Knockback to work and how it also make sense to me. If Mojang wanted it to behave like some kind of horizontal teleporter, then I'll accept it (with sad panda face).
I'm refering to Knockback II, which is on my diamond sword together with Smite (IV level I think).
I'm sorry but my first ticket was closed as incomplete + I was told to create a new ticket with further information.
I can confirm that. I find inc sacks very often in shallow water. I've also seen a squid diing in shallow water once.
I can assure you Tails that this issue is still here together with villager AI issue. I upgraded my server to 1.5.1 I still see Iron golems only around houses stuffed with villagers.
I can confirm that renaming Creepers is bugged. It is bugged only in survival though. Bug occurs in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Get a nametag and put a name on it.
2) Rename a Creeper (make sure you do it in Survival)
3) Try to put anything (Dirt perhaps) into your empty hand and see that the nametag returns into your hand. Creeper should still has it's name.
4)Leave the game and then return. Creeper will no longer have the name.
I can confirm this bug still exists. One of my baby donkeys despawned when I went for some wheat to feed it. Also one my mature, named donkey with saddle and chest full of stacks of stone just vanished.
Just tested it in latest snapshot in singleplayer creative. It's still there.
I've just made artificial village in latest snapshot. It looks like the Golems are OK, but the villagers seem to crowd in 1 house again. As a result, Golems look like they are trying to protect the whole village but prefer to be near the crowded house.
This is not even close to be fixed. The issue is still there in latest snapshot.
Still appears in latest prerelease.
