Are you sure you're putting it in from the right side? Fuel from the side, materials from the top, output from the bottom.

I had that once. Maybe you didn't put it in the right file or you made it a map instead of a winrar file.

You have to put the folder with the world name in .minecraft/saves, not a zip file.
It is still in 13w04, I can comfirm it.

When I updated to the snapshot I had the same problem. However, my computer is a Windows, so maybe it's unrelated.
It still happens in 14w21b.
