Put the summary of the bug you're having here
What I expected to happen was...:
I deleted the world and was trying to create a new one, I had to turn down the graphics settings to avoid that crazy slow lag when spawning a worldWhat actually happened was...:
As soon as I turned down the graphics settings and clicked "singleplayer" the game crashed. This snapshot is absolutely FULL of bugs, was this even tested? so frustratingIGNORE, SNAPSHOT WAS FOR APRIL FOOLS, NO BUGS ARE GOING TO BE FIXED, DOWNGRADE BACK TO 1.8
Non stop issues[IGNORE] 15w14a has bugs
So I tried to launch minecraft on a Sun/Oracle Solaris workstation,
which was the most easiest linux like OS to set this up on, because it actually knows what a .jar file is, and has Java preinstalled. This appears to be an issue with the launcher because selecting MC alpha, Beta, or any version of release causes this to happen. Now I could just be missing something here, but I doubt it because why would Java work differently on this OS than any other OS. LWJGL failed to initalize, because apparently there is something weird with the way it loads that. I have attached the crash log below. This is on a Intel X86 based system btwlots of "[00:20:53 ERROR]: java.io.IOException: Stream closed" in there

Check that image, see the purple box around the golden apple and nether star, that is supposed to be only on the item, not around the whole item in a box. Previous versions of minecraft used to not have this issue

Sorry, Atlassian went down for maintenance just as I was going to attach it, I'll do that in a little bit
Sorry about the late response, I'll do that shortly
I know you guys are swamped with issues right now, so that's why I held off on reporting this for as long as I did, but I would just like to bring it to attention. In the old Minecraft sound system playing a record would stop any other music that was playing if I remember correctly. This doesn't happen in any new version of Minecraft that has the new sound system implemented
Ugh, ok. Looks like this is another suggestion to Mojang then
confirmed in Minecraft 1.8.3
Yes this is still a concern in Minecraft 1.8.3
THIS HAS BEEN RESOLVED, I repeat this is no longer an issue as of Minecraft 1.8.3
ALL THE SAND that falls through goes straight to the overworld
I can confirm this

This video basically explains it all, for some odd reason in minecraft 1.8 if you have your settings maxed out your game will refuse to finish "downloading terrain" the solution is to turn your render distance down into the normal range
Here is what the launcher says while minecraft gets stuck on "downloading terrain"
[17:10:51] [Server thread/INFO]: Scanning folders...
[17:10:51] [Server thread/INFO]: Total conversion count is 0
[17:10:52] [Server thread/INFO]: Preparing start region for level 0

at this point the client screen displays "downloading terrain" and starts playing in game music

at this point you get let into the game and all you see is a world with nothing in it, see the first screenshot

At this point you finally get taken into a playable world.
on slower less powerful computers the JVM itself will just crash
And yes 1.8.3 is also an affected version
awesome! anyway I reverted back to 1.8.0 (the most stable for me) and my preformance and everything else is bliss, it's like a night and day comparison, no lag, no bugs, etc. Hopefully that snapshot gets written off and forgotten about. I would hate to see the next version of mc have all those bugs that the snapshot has.
Anyway i'm back on 1.8 and 1.8 is 10000 times better! it's not without a couple quirks too which already exist in open issues but i'm thankful to find this out
This issue exists in a way more severe form in 15w14a, not that 15w14a matters, just goes to show that if this isn't fixed it will only get worse as new stuff is added
Ah, ok I'll do that. I just assumed it was running a compatible version
yeah I can confirm that this is still an issue in minecraft 1.8.4
Affected versions: 1.8.5
Temporary solution is to continue using Minecraft 1.8 to play on 1.8.x servers
Still an issue, we have to go to .minecraft\server-resource-packs to see the server resource packs
Confirmed running at the Default, out of the box Mojang set minecraft settings, on Minecraft 1.8, 1.8.1, 1.8.2, 1.8.3, 1.8.4, 1.8.5
It's not a dupe, in Minecraft 1.8.1-pre1, 1.8.2 and 1.8.3 it works, but in 1.8.4 and 1.8.5 it dosen't, wtf and I came across that post while searching and saw that too
Still an issue as of 1.8.6 ugh I hope they fix this soon
Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I've gone into the versions folder, made a new folder called 1.13.2_rdpfix and then inside that put the 1.13.2_rdpfix.json file in there, then in the Minecraft launcher added it as a new installation, and then when I go to start it, it downloads all the files then I get "Exited with error code -1" and no more info.
I tried again with 18w21b-glfwtest and got this error
not sure why snapshot exits with crash info and exit code 1 while the 1.13.2 one displays no crash info and exits with -1, but regardless neither work
Windows 10 Pro Version 1909 Build 18363.476 over RDP with Intel HD Graphics, graphics acceleration isn't the issue as that's working just fine and regular 1.13.2 and 1.12.2 launch just fine, just with the mouse issue.
Downgrading to Windows 10 Version 1803 Build 17314.112 fixed the mouse issue in 1.12.2, it appears that something changed between this version and the latest build (1909) that broke mouse support despite it working previously
