It could be many things. Try resizeing the window. Update your drivers, right click your launcher and try running it in compatibility mode; or try deleting your bin, and getting a new launcher. If nothing works, run system restore and revert your computer before you had the issue.
That wouldn't be considered a bug. I just a side feature. rather than telling a command line block 50 times over and over to give a potion makes no sense. The feature has been in the game back with the release of MP and ever since single player was ported to multilayer people start calling every thing bugs... Let alone how many contraptions and map makers use this feature.
I don't think people are really understanding what the give command is... For one, the command isn't something new. It's been there since ALPHA. For one, how would they not realize this? They did. And they don't care. The command was meant for server admins since prior there was no creative. When they made the command they knew it had powers as such. What I don't understand about this is how it breaks game code. If you can give an example other than durability, than please do tell me.
If anyone here happens to be using "d3dgear", that may be the reason. I'm not saying that it is exactly it, but someone solved the issue by uninstalling it, which does by the process 'd3dgear64.dll'.
If you are getting that issue, you should probably update your keyboard drivers, or better try a different keyboard altogether and see if you can reproduce it.
Open the launcher, press "Edit Profile", then "Open Game Dir", then open the "versions" folder, make a duplicate of the folder "13w47c" and call it "13w47c_1", then open that folder and rename both the JSON and JAR to "13w47c_1.jar" and "13w47c_1.json".
Open a notepad window, then drag "13w47c_1.json" into notepad and edit the first item to
"id": "13w47c_1",
.
Then save and quit.
Open Minecraft, hit "Edit Profile", then set "Use Version" to "snapshot 13w47c_1", save then play.
Also, Windows seems to store the full screen preference under HKCU:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ApplicationFrame\WindowSizing\ so editing the launch mode should at least allow people to launch the game. Reinstalling or changing the "options.txt" to disable full screen doesn't seem to work as the registry key to my understanding gets loaded before anything else.
Quick PowerShell script to change the fullscreen setting, search "powershell" at Start and paste in the following:
Add-Type -AssemblyName Microsoft.VisualBasic;$m = [Microsoft.VisualBasic.Interaction];$a="Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition";$b=$m::InputBox("Set the prefered launch mode.`n`n0: No prefered launch mode`n1: Prefer window mode`n2: Prefer full screen mode", $a, "0");try{$l=[int]$b;if(($b-lt0)-or($b-gt2)){exit;}}catch{};Set-ItemProperty -Path HKCU:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ApplicationFrame\WindowSizing\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App -Name PreferredLaunchWindowingMode -Value $l;
This not a bug, it works just as it is intended to.
It's also worth noting that there is no official server external software – thus it's natural that things won't always work properly with 3rd party software.
As per Shogi: this has to do with the client's "Education Version Improved Experience Mode" that's being triggered by the server.
Intended, entities can enter just as nether portals.
If you don't save and quit; it won't save the game completly. Minecraft auto saves every few seconds, but not everything gets saved.
I don't think that's a bug. It's hard to understand what your saying but if you could provide screenshots maybe this could be confirmed.
I don't have that issue. I'm on Windows 7 Pro with Java 7. My window just gets unfocused. Mabe screenshots/ video?
Confirmed. It's intersting how only torches work. I'm gonna have to take a look at the torch codeing.
It could be many things. Try resizeing the window. Update your drivers, right click your launcher and try running it in compatibility mode; or try deleting your bin, and getting a new launcher. If nothing works, run system restore and revert your computer before you had the issue.
Can you provide a map download?
This is most likely intended, and many maps use this feature to their advantage.

There's not much more to say. I'm 99% sure this will remain untouched, but this issue will remain open until mojang or moderators close this.
Confirmed, I believe the formatting is the issue; maybe the ! is getting interpreted as an english character, rather than another language.
In splash.txt, this is what you see: http://i.imgur.com/73HjLEO.png ; notice the character encoding.
This seems to be a common bug, i've crossed over multiple users in #minecrafthelp with the same issue and there seems to be no resolution.

You may need to reset your Minecraft settings to default. To do so, open your .minecraft directory and delete the file called 'options.txt'.
That error seems to be hinting missing system libraries.
Open a command prompt window, and type in:
This isn't a bug, it's something with the system.
It'd be best to go to the technical support resource as linked above.
Could you attach development console logs?

@weex464
This is caused by having items in the chest that just shouldn't be there, and the game has no idea what to do with them and will crash.
You can open the world with something like MCEdit and change the items yourself if you wanted.
You are using a 32bit version of Java on a 64bit OS.
Please install the correct version of Java from here: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp.
This works as it should, even if it's not considered a "solid block", it is still considered a block.
Therefore, the Enderpearl will come to a halt once it reaches a "block" or "entity".
This was fixed in a newer EA release of Java by Oracle, Java 8.
You can grab it here: https://jdk8.java.net/download.html.
Added a text version of the dev console (removed duplicate error spam).
I can't reproduce either.
If you are getting that issue, you should probably update your keyboard drivers, or better try a different keyboard altogether and see if you can reproduce it.
Confirmed, I can reproduce on 1.6.2.
EDIT: Duplicate of
MC-7235.Your world seems to be corrupt.
In that case, you can ask for it to be recovered here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/137381-official-corrupted-save-recovery-thread/
@Liz Peterson
-805306369, something is closing that the game needs.
Give us the Event Log information: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/using-event-viewer/
That does not seem to be an issue with the game.
Perhaps you should consult to the Mojang support center: https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/articles/1175661.
@joey babcock
Are you able to reproduce the issue on Minecraft 1.7.2, if so, please attach the Development Console running 1.7.2.
That exit code usually means that something the game needs has stopped working / has ran out of memory.
That's pretty weird, it seems to be caused by a handshake issue, on single player?
@Liz Peterson
There should be more events than that, all of them would be needed, do it again and use http://pastie.org/.
Try launching it again, probably a temporary issue.
@Hawk J:
You have
MC-40603.@fatty mcfatterson & Jacob Lawson:

For those on Intel 965 Chipsets or any chipset in the 4 Series you may want to take a look at this workaround: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/references/intel-4-series-chipsets/
This issue can usually be resolved by updating graphics drivers as explained here: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/pixel-format-not-accelerated/ - it applies to the Windows 10 Edition too.

This is an account issue, not a bug the the game. If it says the code has already been redeemed then login to http://account.xbox.com/en-US/PaymentAndBilling/PaymentOptions?managePi=0 and check if it's listed if it is, sign out of the Windows Store and back in. If it's not listed there, you should contact Xbox support.

Seems to persist in release 1.10: http://hopper.minecraft.net/crashes/minecraft/MCX-2812829/76595200/#tab_report-obfuscated
Also seems to persist in 1.10: http://hopper.minecraft.net/crashes/minecraft/MCX-2812818/#tab_crash-info
Can also confirm that using those presets does crash the game after a brief moment.
