Armswings when right mouse button is pressed and looking at fence with empty handArm moves when right mouse button is pressed and looking at fence with empty hand
I was playing on my Minecraft server and my hand was empty. I looked at the fence, but instead of mining it with my left mouse button, I accidentaly pressed the right mouse button. Then I realized that if you have an empty hand and press the right mouse button and look at a fence, your arm
swings, but nothing happens (like it's supposed to, but your arm is not supposed toswingforward like you're mining). If it makes any difference when reproducing the result, I was playing in Creative mode.I was playing on my Minecraft server and my hand was empty. Minecraft server not detected on LAN in Multiplayer menu
Screenshot
Suppose you are trying to connect to a Minecraft server. At the Connecting to server..." and "Logging in..." screens, the "Cancel" button is at the bottom of the screen, just like normal, as shown in my attached screenshot titled "Bug31.png". However, if you get an error, the "Return to title screen" button will move up underneath the letters, as shown in "Bug32.png". In that example, the error is that the server is too old, but it should give you that with any error.
When using some desktop environments such as Unity, the icon for Minecraft does not appear correctly, but is displayed as a "?" on the Launcher. I have noticed that if I toggle fullscreen a few times by pressing F11, the icon will appear normally as a crafting table, but never with fullscreen off. Other desktop environments such as GNOME, KDE, M
ate, Xfce, and pretty much every desktop environment other than Unity has not been tested by me.When using some desktop environments such as Unity, the icon for Minecraft does not appear correctly, but is displayed as a "?" on the Launcher. @John Scott: When user-f2760 answers the question
How can i re-open this?
with
it is already reopened, btw only mods can do that
it should be clear from the context that he means Mijira moderators and not Minecraft modifications.
But maybe you've constructed that only for the sake of bashing him.
Don't do that anymore: Personal attacks are not tolerated here.

To make sure that your Java Runtime Environment is up to date, I very highly recommend using OpenJDK. Open a terminal emulator and type "sudo apt-get install default-jre". This command automatically downloads and updates the recommended version of OpenJDK for your system. The previous comments tell you to install "openjdk-7-jre", but when OpenJDK 8 comes out, you might not even know it and it will not update automatically. Install "default-jre" instead.
The camera view is set so the player can see themselves in the screenshot. However, the player cannot be seen and the game does not throw an "illegal stance" error.
I know that now.
This often happens when enabling 3D, exiting and saving Minecraft, restarting Minecraft, and then disabling 3D.
I can't do that. I am unable to reproduce the results, but I did something before this happened. I opened my profile, changed the JVM arguments a little by adding -Xincgc to it because I heard it can reduce lag in Minecraft. Without starting Minecraft, I saved my settings and closed the launcher. I opened the launcher again and then this happened. When I started the launcher again it worked just fine.
The log files are compressed in .gz format and I don't have any programs on my computer that can extract it. I also cannot install one because I am not the administrator on my computer.
But I don't remember what day or time it happened and I have a lot of log files.
This also happens with Nether Brick Fence. Please add this to the bug report.
Yes, but if they're both on your LAN, wouldn't it still make sense for the server to be displayed?
Why redstone_wire when it's called redstone dust?
Depends. Does that happen when you use other programs? If yes, then it's normal. If not, file a bug on this Minecraft bug tracker.
Confirmed on Ubuntu 14.04 in Minecraft 1.7.10. I am like 99% sure this affects all operating systems and all Java Runtime Environments, and is a Minecraft bug.
I would like to point out that even the ground pops out of the screen. However, I do like that more depth has been added. I want 3D to be like what it was in 1.7.10, except with more depth, like in the screenshot, you can see the Creeper pop out a little more than the ground, even though it is really far away. I like that.
What do you mean by "obscure floor"?
The log doesn't show information about the crash, but it does show that your system's connection couldn't keep up, which is strange because you used localhost. That might just be another bug on its own, but the log nor you are giving any information about the crash. When Minecraft crashed, the launcher should have spit out a really big log that is displayed in the launcher, That is what we need.
Guys, it has nothing to do with the resource pack. I have the same problem. It is a Minecraft bug. When I reported it at
MC-68534it was marked as a duplicate of this. It's a bug that happens in plain Minecraft with no resource pack. There's no disputing it. I am a victim of this bug.I don't know. The problem in figuring this out is that the bug can be hard to reproduce and, as far, as I know, is a matter of chance.
Modded content is not to be discussed on this bug tracker. Also, once you use a mod and have problems with using it you can't report it here. Only report bugs in unmodded versions of Minecraft. I deem this bug report Invalid.
Minecraft, although not recommended, has support for Java 6. It, simply put, should say Java 6. It does work best with Java 8. Also, I should point out that Java 8 is not in beta, but is also not on the Oracle's official Java downloads page. This is because some Java programs (Minecraft is NOT one of them) don't work with Java 8. Any day now, you will be required to update to Java 8. It's best to install it now.
Just make it so if the bar has a value of 0 to print OFF instead.
No, it's not just mods! You're wrong. It happens in Mojang's official version of Minecraft. Did you not read Kumasasa's comment above?
Is he aware that mod is not an official term for moderator? Have a look here: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mod and it says that mod is an official abbreviation for moderate, modification, and modulo.
I have the exact same problem on Ubuntu 14.04 and Minecraft 1.8. I use Unity 3D (not 2D, meaning I use Compiz). I accidentally press the Super (Windows) key during gameplay, and then I can't see Minecraft anymore. It is clearly still running, but there is not a way to get back to it. I just usually do Ctrl+Alt+F1 to get to the terminal and type killall java. It is very annoying. Perhaps this is a bug in Compiz or your JRE (Java Runtime Environment). I see you use Java 7 Update 65 (there is no such thing as Java 1.7.0.65 so please change it!), but what JRE do you use? OpenJDK or Oracle? This is likely a bug in our JREs or in Compiz. I use OpenJDK and that's probably what you are using. We can only wait for a JRE update or Compiz update. Until then, get into a habit of typing the command sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y a lot to get potential updates!
Same problem. Latest version of OpenJDK on Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit.
Exact same problem on Ubuntu 14.04 with Unity 3D. Still in Minecraft 1.8.
Interesting. Considering that this bug affects Windows and Ubuntu users, I would think this would be the developer's first priority. Also, according to that bug report and https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-70651, there are all sorts of problems with Minecraft on Linux-based operating systems. I would think this would be the developer's first priority (perhaps they're working on it right now?) because, just taking your word for it, also affects Windows and probably happens on all operating systems. I've yet to test Apple Mac OS X, but when I do I will let you know.
Using
DLWJGL_DISABLE_NETWM=true makes it so pressing the Windows key does not bring it out of fullscreenif it doesn't work for you you either did not put a space between the other arguments you have or just plain didn't do it right. That not only fixes the problem for me but makes it so pressing the Windows key does not disrupt gameplay. Perhaps an update to the Minecraft launcher should make it add it automatically. Anyway, it works and fixes the problem. Well, I shouldn't say fix, but it's a pretty dang good workaround, especially since the Windows key does NOTHING during gameplay anymore. Are you sure? The bug still says Unresolved and, according to the list of bugs fixed, this is not one of them.
That doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed.
No it is not still a problem. It is fixed in Minecraft 1.8.1. When that command is run, it makes the characters <> appear in chat instead of crashing the game, so this bug is now fixed.
