While playing the game in windowed mode & snapped to one side of the screen, the world map was not showing up. In its place was an empty brown screen. After unsnapping and resnapping the game, the map showed up. This hadn't happened before.
Attached are screenshots of before and after resnapping the game, and an example of what I mean by "snapped"/"snapping" (as I'm not sure what its technical name is or how to effectively describe it)
Steps to reproduce:
- Change the display mode to WIndowed
- Click and drag the game window to one side of the screen so it "snaps" into place
- Return to the game and try to open the full map
I apologize if this is a duplicate thread - I did search prior to making a ticket but didn't see anything that I thought was similar.
This ticket, however, is not a duplicate of
MC-199580, as that ticket provides feedback on the blast resistance of blocks added in 1.12. This ticket,MC-203063, deals with a block being broken uncharacteristically, even if its blast resistance is relatively low. Via the minecraft wiki, concrete has a blast resistance of 1.8 while ghast fireballs have a power of 1, rendering a fireball weaker than a concrete block.

I'm having the same issue too. I'm not sure if anything specific triggers it, as it happens both when running around a map and in battle. I believe I have recordings of it happening, so if that would be useful, I can upload those as well.
I'm not sure what information would be useful, so I've just attached a screenshot of the program you mentioned.
I've noticed this in Squid Coast as well.

I've had this happen with just a Sword as well.
In light of Spigot rendering the report invalid, I tested the bug as recommended in vanilla on a single player world (1.16.3) and found the same problem.
I've attached a video showing the issue below. Notice how in the first test, the fireball hits the netherrack behind the concrete, causing the concrete to break, but in the second test, the fireball hits the concrete directly, leaving the concrete intact.

From
MC-203063, which was marked as a duplicateI was building in the nether and was attacked by a ghast. It hit my build, which is constructed of nether brick and white concrete, and, to my surprise, the concrete broke. I looked at the minecraft wiki and as I suspected, the ghast's fireball (power of 1) should be weaker than concrete's blast resistance (b.r of 1.8), thus it should not have broken.
I then decided to test this with my friend, and we've come to the conclusion that when a fireball hits netherrack, a surrounding concrete block will break. It will, however, stay intact if the fireball hits the concrete instead, as expected. We filmed an example of our test, which I've attached (note there is no audio in the clip due to size limitations)
Steps to replicate this bug:
Originally, I discovered this bug in a modded server, but I tested the bug in a vanilla single-player world and found the same results (1.16.3). Those findings can be seen in the attached video.
