There was a zombie in my pool, I expected it to chase after me. It didn't, it just continued to swim around. I even got closer, it only hurt me when I pushed into it. (Sorry if this is a duplicate, I searched for similar problems but didn't find anything). In the picture it looks like it is looking at me, but this was the screen shot I was able to get whilst staying above water.
When I jumped down from something I had expected to lose more hearts than I did, but I realized that I had eaten an extra food earlier (when my health bar was already full I ate another food).
...So did an experiment:
-First, I built a twenty-one block height tower, which deals exactly nine out of ten hearts when player has full health.
-Second, when hurt I ate bread but without removing my finger from the screen I ate another bread when already at full health. This visually did nothing but make me lose another bread.
-Lastly, I fell from the tower again. Instead of leaving me with only one heart left, it left me with three and a half hearts.
So what I'm thinking, is that when the player is able to eat an extra bit of food when already at full health the hearts the food heals will almost 'bank' over until the player takes damage. Giving the player extra hearts.

Well....why would you have a diamond ore anyway? That's impossible unless in creative to obtain it and in creative it is impossible to use furnaces. In survival, you need a silk touch pickaxe which has not been implemented in MCPE....the is no enchanting.
I've had some jittery moments too. But I think it was because my headphone wire was rubbing against the touch screen. It's weird.
I don't think it is related to that, I've only found a few hostile mobs in water before. I'll have to check about the two blocks deep thing.
Unfortunately, I was unable to replicate a zombie in two block deep water... Turns out mobs only spawn when you DON'T want them, haha. But, a creeper spawned and made it into the water... I think I had alerted it when I broke a dirt block next to it, causing it to explode. So, that's not a good expiremnt...guess I shouldn't be a scientist.
I'm fine with zombies NOT chasing me...but yeah that does seem like a problem, now logically explained. And I love your weapon of choice...a shovel.
It's odd, for some reason I have to be on the ground, whilst staring at the sky. It works most of the time.
Edit: sometimes it seems easier if you are very low on health.
I think it's because of this issue...https://mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MCPE-934
I think that's happened to me. I copied a world and half of my house got cut off.
Yes, it only works with one extra food. And it doesn't visually give you an extra heart. If you were to get hurt you may not lose any hearts, or you may lose less.
