/give(username) (item ID)command Crashes Minecraft for heads (block)
/give command Crashes Minecraft for heads (block form, not item)
Minecraftwiki says that if you do /give (username) 144, it should give you a mob head in its block form. However, when I try this, Minecraft crashes. This has happened three times. I don't know why it is happening.

In 13w03a, Redstone dust has been renamed to Redstone (I think) and as a result, the sprite for Redstone dust (#0055) in the bottom item selection area looks like a piece of code. when placed however, it still results in redstone, just like normal.
(in the screenshot, it's the bottom bit with the item selection area that shows the glitch.)How to reproduce
1. Type /give (yourself) 55
2. That's basically it, put if you want to see the full sprite, press the Q button to throw.
I believe Stone Stairs (ID 67) should be called cobblestone stairs.
Command Blocks don't do anything when I step over a pressure plate that is next to the block. It worked fine in 1.5.1, not in 13w16a.

EDIT: This seems to be that Pressure Plates are broken, not Command Blocks.

Placing a button in a very dark area appears to make the block it was placed on slightly lighter. The difference is very minute, but it's a difference.
<strong>What should have happened was:</strong>The light shouldn't have changed.
<strong>What did happen was:</strong>It did change.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Find a very dark area, preferably somewhere with a light level of 2 or less.
Place a button, and watch the block become slightly lighter.

When starting a game today in the launcher, I got the following error, and it told me to report it here. Note that I've never had this before when opening the same profile.

When I closed and reopened the launcher the game launched 1.6.2 successfully.

How am I supposed to yell at Dinnerbone?
Yeah, this is similar but not exactly the same.
MC-6744was for fire, this is for heads.I didn't even have to put it in an item frame. Just doing the command crashes the game in 13w02a.
Oh, ok. Sorry.
Actually, when I throw it with "Q", the sprite says "missing texture" twice, as can be seen in the second screenshot.
Tomas Watchorn, it still happens. I have a pet cat and dog, and sometimes, when they roam around, I notice them momentarily disappearing into the ground for up to 30 seconds at a time. When this happens, their skin turns black, and they sometimes go invisible altogether. I'm using 13w03a, the latest available at the time of posting this .
True, but before this version, this seems to have been the standard redstone. This was the one I was using in my world, which I found in the inventory. Now, it seems to have changed altogether.
Finally this has been fixed. It was really annoying having an entire inventory full of minecarts and then having to clear them. Why can't minecarts be stacked?
I did search,but I couldn't find anything.
I can confirm this in 13w05b, in which I tested this 5 minutes ago. It still happens in this update.
It's true. In a previous world that I had, when rain or night came, i would often get up to 50 villagers in the one house, while all the others would be empty.
There are usually more villagers than doors, but perhaps each door should be given a number or ID, and each villager that spawns should be given the door ID, in order. This means that if there are 5 doors, for example, the first villager gets, door A, the second gets door B, and so on, until the sixth gets door A again. This means that each house should have an even number of villagers.
Are you serious @Orion Humphrey ? If so, wow. How do you do that? Actually i never tested this myself. Perhaps I shall try that in 13w07a.
The cat growing up makes sense. It becomes bigger, but partially gets stuck in a wall and suffocates. But the fact that you can push a cat into a wall and make it suffocate really doesn't make any sense.
Sorry Markku.
You're right. Hopefully it might just convince mojang to really deal with the issue.
Can someone please add 13w07a to the version list? It still happens there.
yes, i noticed this too.
Based on Kumasasa's picture, it seems fine. It just looked like a quarter slab on top of another slab. i didn't know about corner stairs. i just thought it looked strange.
Interesting. It definitely still happens, but I didn't know about that.
It still happens in 13w10b... how do you add it to the list of affected versions? can only moderators do that?
I'd assume the only sensible way to replicate it is by keeping a baby next to a wall for some time, and then waiting for it to grow up. A bit boring, though.
Interesting....
Yes.Please limit your comments. I got nearly 400 emails because of you. SorryImeant40. I'm typeing this from my very laggy phone.
still happens in 1.5.1. When it kills a snow golem, it randomly flings its arm in the air at random intervals.
It is for some reason called "Stone stairs" in-game. It should be Cobblestone stairs.
I saw that, but it was weird because of that "She sould sound" bit at the end, and I thought it had been closed because of that. And I thought it should be cobblestone stairs.
Most probably because they still don't know what is causing it. It sometimes happens when mobs walk over long bridges. As they walk along, they sink, become black, then reappear on the surface.
I just created
MC-19346on the same issue!Nothing different in Creative.
Does it have anything to do with rounding of numbers?
same issue with me, depends on which way the ocelot is facing. Sometimes it connects above the tail ,though usually above the head. Probably due to a hitbox problem.
Same with me. Minecraft Vanilla Windows XP Java 7 Update 21.
Still happens in 13w16a. (Windows XP, Java 7 Update 21) I had 521 levels, and lost 30 when enchanting a diamond sword in creative. This does not happen on anvils.
perhaps i have a slightly different issue, but i tried putting a diamond horse armor and diamond sword in an anvil. When I took the horse armor back out, the XP bar turned dark. Removing it from the hotbar changed it back to its normal colour, but putting it back in makes it go dark again. 13w16a.
Pfft, you wish they have been fixed. Still happens.
It does say enchanted books in the title, so this must go along with that.
I've noticed this too. But slightly different, maybe. When I shoot an arrow far through the air, and then go to it a while after it lands, I find the arrow floating in mid-air. Weird. And this isn't even with destroying blocks or anything like that. Windows XP, Creative, Java 7 Update 21, 13w16a.
That was either vandalism or false belief. Or age2empires2020.
I saw that. An admin undid his edit, then he undid that, another admin undid that, he/she came an undid THAT, and then the admin protected the page so that only admins could edit it. Damn you age2empires2020!!!!!!
Fixed in 13w16b? Yay!
I don't get it.
It's simply dropping the old armor and placing the new one on. But it shouldn't drop in Creative.
It glows in your hand, but not when you place it on the horse.
it cannot be that, this is CSP on vanilla mc.
If someone could tell me what I missed I'll add it in...
Probably because they jump?
