Changed Description:
I tried to log on to a sever, run by a pc, on my network.
Tried IPv4 and no-ip, both returned "Can't Reach Server"
I also tried hamachi. at first it seemed like it worked, but when i logged on, i was stuck in a block, not suffocating. i broke the block but it didn't drop, and I'd assume that's a mis-communication between server and client.the server owner restarted the server, and then I couldn't connect. (neither could our friend that connected from another state, if that matters.)
Item frames, like paintings and minecarts count as entities. If you have a lot of item frames, it's like having a lot of pigs or any other mob, creating a lot of lag. I hope that helped.
so it's a network thing? other servers work just fine though... oh well, guess i need to find a fix elsewhere. thanks anyway.
I have the same problem. it started happening when i used the new launcher (though i'm not sure how that is related). for me it also affects other versions of minecraft, not only 1.7.2.
This happens when i switch desktops/screens on my mac, but not always. sometimes "solves itself" by changing desktops a bunch of times, sometimes i just reboot the game.
Environment: Mac OSX 10.7.5
java 6
Affected Versions: 1.7.2, 1.6.4, 1.6.2,
Could not reproduce(though it's still possible) with: 1.6.1, 1.5.2
Did not test other versions.
I will say what I said on
