When a dispenser is hooked up to a repeating circuit, but NOT FIRING at the time, and it's full of 9 stacks of fire charges, the following happens:
"Phantom fire charges" appear for a split-second in midair.
When actually in front of the dispensers, the following happens, in addition to the "phantoms":
The game's framerate drops from around 75-85 to just 10-20, and sometimes even lower.
The tick rate slows. Redstone currents no longer work immediately. A button press will open a door eventually, but it takes up to 20 seconds for it to do so, even when there is NO delay. The same with pressure plates and redstone blocks when applied to anything.
I sometimes glitch back to the last known bug location. For instance, a door failing to open (as described above) could send me back to that spot even 10 seconds after I've left the area. For now, I'm choosing to keep the dispensers loaded at only 5/9 capacity. The glitch does not occur if I do not fully load them.
EDIT: The tick slowing has been fixed to some degree, but the framerate still fluctuates to very low levels.

While riding a minecart, the other player seems to glitch in and out of the cart. Sometimes, the entire cart glitches back to their starting point, then suddenly jumps back to their proper location.

They may do this several times during a trip of just 50 blocks.EDIT: This also happens with pigs.
In just one of my worlds, the game ticks seem to slow down. Levers take over 15 seconds to change states when pulled. Doors take the same time to open when activated by redstone.
This only happens in certain areas. For example, inside a floating structure I am creating, where the outside world is not visible at all except through glass, the framerate and ticks are fine. But whenever I can see the outside world NOT through a transparent block, the framerate slows to about 20% of its standard rate, and the game ticks slow.
Sometimes, it jumps to about 70% normal framerate, and the tick rate becomes normal for just a split-second, but then everything goes back downhill.
This was NOT fixed yet. At least the phantom fire charges in my last post have been.Note: I am using some Minecraft mechanics exploits. One device that exploits it is a wireless redstone transmitter. However, this is not causing my problems. Even when I turn the transmitter off, the problem persists. However, I am wondering if it has something to do with the fact that it's just there.
Another note: Only ONE of my seven existing Minecraft worlds actually has this problem. This does not occur when playing on a multiplayer server or LAN world.

EDIT: I accidentally labeled it as "crash". That was wrong; there is no crash. It's just a bug.

EDIT: Another related
problem was found. When I open the bugged world, the game takes me back to the home screen. If I wait for about 30 seconds, it successfully loads, but it takes another 30 for the 1st chunk to start loading, which means that I start falling, falling, falling until the chunk loads and I am correctly positioned.

Not necessarily a duplicate; the tick slowing isn't mentioned in the other ones, or the unusually low framerate, or the player glitching. I think it's at least partially fixed but I'm not sure.
How to do that, exactly? And there isn't ever an error message. It's just a problem, and Minecraft doesn't detect it.
Nope, I read that post (
MC-1291), and it's not a duplicate. It's quite a different issue. They talked about players becoming invisible after disembarking a cart. I'm talking about players glitching around all over the place UNTIL they disembark.MC-13208is more like it, except it doesn't quite cover everything. That happened in the same world I had tick problems in. Just wait for about 30 seconds. Then fiddle with the settings a little. That's what I did, and the world loaded eventually.
The same happened for me up until 1.4.2, then it got fixed. Windows XP glitch, probably. Book and quill also glitched up until the same point.
This happens for me, too, only in book and quill. On Misa Realistic pack 1.5.2, when I write a book, and go to the bottom of the page, it's fine. Then when I switch to default texture - or Disco's OCD pack 1.5 - the text goes off the bottom of the page. It's something I'll just have to get around, it's really no big deal.
Just one thing - where's minecraft.bat?
Is minecraft.exe the same as .minecraft, minecraft.jar, or something different? Where would I find it if it's something different?
I do it through the default launcher with the update logs and stuff.
So is minecraft.exe just the launcher? Then where is the file?
The notepad file? While the launcher is open? Or is it like a file or something?
P.S. The saving of the .bat file did work. Instead of being saved as "minecraft.bat", it got saved as just "minecraft". Good sign, right?
It isn't working, clicking on minecraft.bat, since it's not anywhere NEAR the minecraft.exe. I'm putting it in .minecraft to see if that helps. I can always remove it if it causes trouble.
And that didn't work so I'm putting it in "bin". After that if that doesn't work I'll put in minecraft.jar or a folder that looks nice.
Nope, still didn't run. What to do?!
Part of
MC-3766does occur in my corrupted world. I really worked hard on the thing and don't have MC edit to move it around from world to world. The intense lag and slow ticks occur. Crashing, however, doesn't occur, making it a non-duplicate of that. This is a quite unique issue as far as I've seen posted. Anyway, where is the minecraft.exe shortcut or file?Never mind, I deleted the world. It likely came from a bad hard drive defrag. And to answer your question, I use the icon on my desktop, minecraft.exe. It runs fine now, I might want to delete this post, if I can...
What are you doing to dismount? The new dismount is L-Shift. I got freaked out by this at first, as well.
I kinda like the stair-bouncing. Could it be used as a little conveyor belt...?
That's actually SUPPOSED to happen. It's not a glitch.
I actually think that's supposed to happen. They did say there would be new minecart and boat mechanics in 1.6.
MC-35856is not a duplicate of this, it doesn't matter what the mods say, it is different. In the chest is a written book. Read it and follow the instructions. Observe the boat bug.
