MCL-289Minecraft launcher links are broken for me
When I try to click on a link in the Minecraft launcher (old and new) it does nothing! And I have no clue how to fix it. But this problem only happens with my minecraft launcher(s) old and new can someone tell me how to fix this please?!

@dinnerbone When I click "Forgot Password" the URL opens just fine.

@dinnerbone I noticed that all links seem to work now, although I haven't tried the "Go to URL" yet. (Version 1.0.5)
Try clicking on a link in the blog post, or logging in with a wrong password.

What happens if you click on a link ingame in the chat ? (Simply type http://www.google.de/ in the chat)
The same happened for me up until 1.4.2, then it got fixed. Windows XP glitch, probably. Book and quill also glitched up until the same point.
Okay I tried it it said "are you sure you want to open the following website?
Http://www.google.com/"
So it clicked it and nothing happened which is what happens to me when I try to click on a link in the minecraft launcher
Old & new launcher and Minecraft itself affected -> Sounds like some security setting in Java.
Is this still an issue in the current launcher 0.9.5 ?

yes it's still happening for me and I can't fix it because I don't know how to!

Try going ingame and clicking on a link in chat!
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft /Launcher version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

This is not resolved I responde to an email indicating it was not resolved. I guess I should have responded here instead.
@all having this issue: Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while ingame and attach the crash report here.
Server added as requested. Created in-game by pressing f3 +c for 10 seconds

Please attach the complete output of the "Development console" of the launcher after clicking a link. CTRL-A, CTRL-C there, CTRL-V in the ticket.
This is what I got after blindly clicking the grey screen until it took me to a web page. I then clicked the development console tab (blindly assuming it was selected) and clicked int he grey area. then doing as you asked.
Nothing to see.
But:
?? Don't you see what`s written in the Development Console ??

This is a scrennshot after I selected the Dev con tab. It is exactly the same as when I first open minecraft. The profile drop down box does not appear to function. I cannot press any of the profile buttons. The only thing I can do is click on the area that says "play offline". This brings the game up normally in "online" mode.
