Resource launcher uses appears to be https://mcupdate.tumblr.com/

Sand entity floating in bubble columns works as intended IMO.
I have just ran into this issue when using a redstone portal lighting device made in 1.12 on 1.13.
It should be possible to use the flint and steel on any block like in 1.12 this is for both the player and the dispenser.
Just because a location is not valid for a fire block to be placed, this shouldn't stop you striking a flint and steel.
It would appear the game is checking for a valid portal frame to allow you to light a portal on the side columns.
I would argue that allowing flint and steel to strike on the side of valid portal frames but not other blocks is completely unintuitive.
Previously (1.12) you could light a portal frame in any location including against the top and in the middle.
This seems to be changed due to
MC-92385ALL redstone components should be placeable on hoppers like in 1.12 and lower.
Without this there are a good few things built in 1.12 that are now completely broken if you remove the component from the top of the hopper in 1.13.
Seems confusing and inconsistent with previous releases. Certainly wasn't like this in 1.12. I have nothing against the Christmas skin for ender chests if maybe the color was different.
I seems like the old v1 launcher is no longer maintained as the bug was marked as Legacy not long after I posted the report.
I switched to using MultiMC which I feel is a lot more useful and intuitive than the v2 launchers for Linux.
I also believe there should be a way of disabling wandering traders and the annoying llamas.
My redstone testing world keeps getting them spawning and standing on pressure plates, changing doMobSpawning is not helpful if I am testing anything with mobs.
There are similar issues with phantoms these new additions to the game only seem considered from a survival aspect but not a creative or adventure aspect.
One suggestion I have would be that doMobSpawning is changed to have options. like "gamerule doMobSpawning MobType false"
ideally with a "gamerule doMobSpawning * false" wildcard option.
