mob head(?)instead of torch for a split second
What I expected:
When trying to place a torch on a wall while looking at the ceiling block next to it, the torch should be automatically placed on the wall, nothing more, nothing less. What happened:
When I placed a torch on a ceiling block next to a wall, a mob head with unknown texture (you know, that classic black-purple checked texture) appeared instead of the torch (at least it seemed to be a mob head)Steps to Reproduce:
1. Look at a ceiling block next to a wall made of any block (that can hold torches)
2. Place a torch on the ceiling block
3. A mob head with missing texture appears on the wall instead of the torch, it disappears after a split second, then a torch will be normally placed on the wall. Some Screenshots Included.

Ladislav Bielko is right.
Actually, every time you try to place a torch or a redstone torch in a valid location, where there is a valid block face where the torch can be attached (top or side of a solid blocs), but while pointing at an invalid face instead (the bottom of a block or a transparent block), the torch will first try to attach itself to the invalid face, before being moved to a valid face. During the short time when the torch hasn't be moved, it appears as a small box with missing texture.
I attached two screenshots, the first one shows the torch being placed on the white stained glass, the second one shows the torch being moved to the sandstone block. Note the cursor pointing at the glass.
Ladislav Bielko: You could have tried other keywords as well, suchs as torch texture.

Still in 14w06b. Looks like its a pretty hard bug to be fixed.
If you want to know what exactly was built on my map, it is:
However, turning all the machines off does not change or remove the bug, it`s still there.
Well, the missing texture is not actually appearing only when the torch is placed on the bottom of a block, see more on my bug report: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-48095
I also have no resourcepack installed and my environment is:
Windows 8 (not 8.1), Java 7 Update 51
(if you wanted to know what version of Java I got or what RP i was using / if I did change my RP before the bug)
AfterI realised what I wrote in the EDIT, I posted a new screenshot.
Connor Griggs you can capture the box when making several screenshots very quickly, see my report for the screenshots: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-48095
Added 2 more screenshots, too, to show that the bug appears on any kind of non-transparent block.
Kumasasa you took down my bug report, too, because it was a duplicate of the bug report you just mentioned. But I searched for "torch" and "torch ceiling" and nothing simmilar to this bug showed up! How should I know If a report of the bug already exists, then?
