I can not repair the bow, with a new one. When I took the new bow in the second slot, the new calculated level are visible for one second. In the end, I can not repair the bow.
I am using MC 1.4.4
I bet the problem is that Minecraft Dungeons could only be bought via Microsoft Account and you are still logged in with an old Mojang Account. I have the same problem, which is caused by that. MC bought via Mojang Account and MCD bought via MS-Account. Sadly the migration of Mojang Accounts to MS Accounts didn't started yet.
Workaround would be: Log Out and Sign in with your Microsoft Account. Afterwards you can play MCD.
