Piglins, when attacked in peaceful, become hostile, they attempt to attack, with their sword swinging, but don't do any damage. It really ruins the new 1.16 graphics and the game lags a LOT too when this happens.
In minecraft, when I am killed or I die my respawn point is in a weird darkness. It takes a few minutes to fix and is really annoying as there is very little visibility,

While playing in Minecraft I had traded with a piglin and received soul speed iron boots, immediately I equipped them but piglins started to attack me, but when I ran inside to change my boots to gold ones, the iron boots kept jumping back to their original space. The same thing happened when I equipped plain netherite boots, so this isn't just soul speed. My netherite boots were at full durability and they kept bouncing back to the boots slot while trying to put them in a chest.
Even though in 1.16.0, ghasts are only supposed to spawn in deltas and soul sand valleys, however, they also spawn in nether wastes, with no deltas/soul sand valley nearby. There were also no forests or anything of the sort nearby, this was my old nether area and ghasts are still spawning there as of may 2021.
My friend once had this happen to him in his favorite survival world. He just did /give cheat to give him a pair of leather boots to switch out with his stuck ones. I worked and he grind stoned the enchantment out of them. @GravelGrinder yep when i saw your comment I told him and it worked. @vison907 500XP! pretty good! I have reached 1,076 then I enchanted everything I had lol. I had a XP mob farm so I got a lot. Sad you had to kill yourself and lost all of that. Though you might of gotten some back...
It is still happening in the official release
1. Go to a nether wastes biome
2. Wait for about 5 minutes or so
3. A ghast will spawn
There shouldn't be any ghasts.

Maybe you are trying to light a portal that is too big/small. Or you might be in an older version of the game.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new survival world on bedrock nintendo switch.
2. Join another player on splitscreen.
3. Build a basic house with literally just a torch and bed.
4. Set your respawn point.
5. Walk in any direction for 100 blocks.
6. Ask the other player to kill you.
Expected Results:
When you respawn you will not see any darkness and can play normally.
Observed Results:
When the other player kills me I respawn in my house but it is completely dark. Though the torch is still burning.
no that does not work the quick equip does not fix the bug
It doesn't work i can confirm. I am still stuck. I had to do slash kill. And lost 500 XP levels
Annoyingly, I don't really have the capability to record this, but I will try.
I can confirm the issue is still there. When I respawn, occasionally the lighting will just vanish while loading the worlds, then or about 30 seconds i can barely see anything, this feels like the blindness effect
