MC-117827Nonexistent (or misnamed) tipped arrow recipe
Simply put, trying to give the "tipped arrow" recipe using commands does not work. This issue happens in all snapshots, including the most recent 1.12 Pre-Release 5.
I believe the command should be:
/recipe give @p minecraft:tipped_arrow
Instead, using the 'tab' key to fill it in, the only existing recipe is under minecraft:tippedarrow, without the underscore. This may contribute to the problem.
The outputs either way are incorrect:
/recipe give @p minecraft:tipped_arrow --> "minecraft:tipped_arrow is an unknown recipe"
/recipe give @p minecraft:tippedarrow --> "Successfully given <...> the recipe for Air"

Not all recipes are supported by the recipe book yet including tipped arrows. I have added a error message for when trying to unlock these in the next pre release.
Will this also fix the bug that tippedarrow is tab completed despite the fact that this is not the item id and no recipe file with this name exists?
There is a recipe named tippedarrow so the autocomplete is technically correct but we are not supporting it in the recipe book yet among certain other recipes like fireworks, map cloning, map extending, Armor dyeing, book cloning, repair items, banner patterns, shield patterns and most of the shulker box recipes. That is not fixed.
