MC-13995Keyboard not configured right for Keybindings
When it comes to Keybindings (like Pickblock, etc.) the Keyboard works like it has the default englisch layout (y and z are switched etc.).
In the chat everything works fine (y and z aren't switched, etc.)

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

This sounds like
MC-630andMC-7255, though I'm not entirely sure from your description of the problem. However, this will probably be fixed once this issue in LWJGL is fixed, and Minecraft is able to package an updated version of LWJGL with Minecraft.For me the bug only appears in 13w16a, so in the newest snapshot, where Mojang already uses an updated version of LWJGL
What keyboard layout do you have then?
normally the layout is the switzerland(german) one, but in the snapshot, when it comes to keybindings, y and z are swapped and the special characters are located somewhere else too
I have this bug with all snapshots since 13w16a, but it also occurs when I launch Minecraft 1.5.1/1.5.2 from the "new" launcher (0.8.1) in fullscreen. The keyboard works as expected in window mode.
It works perfectly fine in 1.5.1/1.5.2 when launched from the old launcher.
I can also confirm that the chat window isn't affected at all.
This strange behavior may indicate a problem with the (new) libraries that the new launcher uses... ?

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.8.1 Prerelease 3 / Launcher version 1.5.3 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
