MC-147202Items won't go into inventory and will drop over and over
So I went to collect some crops from a village I found and when I broke them they wouldn't go into my inventory and keep repeating the drop animation. My inventory is not full either and I tried waiting a few minutes but it still happens. Also any items dropped on the dirt cannot e picked up even after breaking it or being pushed by water. [Update:] So now I can't collect ANYTHING that's mined or dropped. I had already been playing for a half hour before this issue began so I'm not sure what caused it.

To be determined. In 1.14.4, this can happen sometimes when breaking netherrack blocks in the Nether for instance.

Please provide a small video with the debug screen enabled (hit the F3 key) demonstrating the issue.
After exiting and opening the game again it no longer causes this issue although occasionally mobs stop moving. Next time this happens I will show the debug screen.

Does this still happen for you in 1.15.2 or the latest snapshot?
