Try changing your smooth lighting in options-video settings-smooth lighting level.
I hope it works
The absence of smooth lighting still doesn't explain why blocks that are directly next to the glowstone are darker than blocks that are more far away.

MC-68129.This happens when brightness is set to moody, even if smooth lightning is enabled. The smooth lighting is calculated incorrectly, therefore the blocks next to the glowstone seem to be too dark (except they actually aren't, it's just the blocks next to them that have the wrong light level).
