Lime dye recipe is wrong, this color is made with green and yellow, not green and white
The recipe for the lime dye is currently green and white, but these two colors form light green, not lime. The correct mix is green and yellow.
Lima is like orange, it is formed by combining a color with yellow,
Orange = Red + Yellow Lime = Green + Yellowbut if yellow were replaced by white, it would give a different color
Red + White = Pink Green + White = Light Green

Can confirm, but it sounds like a request for change, rather than a bug.
I also have my doubts if it belongs here or in suggestions, but it looks more like a mistake/bug than something intensional.
Although green and yellow makes more sense, I think this is more of a feature request
It’s made that way becose it’s simpler, it’s logical that if you make green lighter it’s going to be lime. Even tho it’s not correct
If you wanna suggest this post it in
[https://feedback.minecraft.net/Feedback and Suggestions|https://feedback.minecraft.net/|https://feedback.minecraft.net/]
Also to keep consistency with the other dyes
Making a lighter color does not necessarily mean that you should use white.
If this were the case, the most logical thing would be to use white and red to form orange, since orange would be a "lighter" red. But no, this would form pink*.
A color can be lightened with either white or yellow, but the results are always different.
I think what makes orange and pink more obvious is that we have a name for both. As there is no name for "light green"(G+W)**, it is often confused with lime(G+Y).
*Actually the best way to make pink is with magenta and white, but you understand what I mean.
**The closest name I could find is "mint green", but that one is a bit bluish. Anyway here I will call it that.
"mint green" on the left, lime on the right:
not a bug. belongs in suggestions.
Green + white = lighter green. What's wrong?
Did you even look at the report? Or Solo Alguien's comments?
It's intended, but it's a logical point that should be reviewed and changed accordingly.
The recipe was designed like this, yes, but that does not make it not a mistake; mistakes are made for various reasons, and lack of knowledge may be one of them. When that knowledge is shared, that does make mistakes like these bugs, unintended effects.
So it should be reviewed and updated accordingly.
This is a feature request.
