MC-2439minecraft minecraft window pops up screen goes black and freezes
Ok so i was playing minecraft this afternoon and it started lagging so i lowered my brightness to raise my fps. It did so i lowered it all the way but it lagged again so i closed minecraft and when i logged back in the mojang thing pops up and then goes black. Then a separate window tab pops up at the bottom of my screen and my screen freezes! When i click control alt delete and click cancel or start task manager it closes the windows out. I tried logging in on my dads computer and it works so i dont know if its my pc or what please let me know

Are you using any mods? If so, please try without them.
no im not ive deleted everything to do with minecraft on my computer and
then re downloaded everything making sure that wasnt it:/

Have you tried updating your LWJGL files? these might be causing the screen to go black.

what do i do once i download it?
you need to replace the files that are listed on the website with the ones in the download. The instructions are there
lol yeah i kind of figured that out once i looked. Well i did and it
stopped showing the minecraft minecraft 1.4.2 tab but now it is just
sitting there as a black screen. I asked my friend about the tab that would
pop up and he said that it was minecraft trying to go into fullscreen but i
dont know lol.

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! I did a system restore to my computer to a date when
minecraft worked and it works i remember i important thing the i did that
that made it mess up and i completely forgot about it. When i was playing i
had clicked fullscreen on and thats what did all of this! I want to thank
everyone that has been trying to help me
