Particles are created when using a brush on end portals, nether portals and end gateways
Summary
using brush on end portals or nether portals creates causes an particles just like MC-261141
Step to reproduce
- create any portals like nether portal/end portal or using via commands
- take a Brush
- for pocket edition Use of action buttons
- hold to brush into nether portal/end portal or end gateways
Observed result
The nether/end portal particles are created
Expected behaviour
using brush should not creating particles from nether/end portal
However due to MC-261141 was closed as of same Works As Intended
Relates to MC-167886 and MC-261141.
The bug
If a nether portal block is placed in certain configurations using commands, it can allow for particles of said block to be created when falling from a height.
The fixing of MC-1133 means that this has been removed from MC-122547, however other methods remain possible.
How to reproduce
- Place two carpets on top of each other
- Use a setblock command to replace the lower carpet with minecraft:nether_portal
- Fall on top of the upper carpet from a height
Expected results
Carpet particles would be created.
Actual results
We instead get nether portal particles.
Further notes
It may also be possible to reproduce this without commands by using a sufficiently tall nether portal containing stacked boats which are then fallen upon.
