Prompting resource pack disappears if player dies before installing or disconnecting
I noticed that if you join a server, where you must install prompted resource pack, and player dies before installing/disconnecting, then if you respawn, the message disappears and you do not longer need to install resource pack as no other message appears before reconnecting
I'm sorry for low quality of the video — had to lower it drastically in order to upload it here.
Edit 2: For it to be easier, here's the way to reproduce the bug
- Install Minecraft Server
- Change settings to make resource pack download a mandatory
- Open Minecraft, connect to the server, but do not choose anything, when you will be asked to install resource pack
- Using original Minecraft Server GUI (or CLI) kill the player.
- Press "Respawn"
Expected behaviour:
The popup shows up again to ask player to install resource pack or disconnect.
Actual behaviour:
Nothing happens, player respawns and can play without installing resource pack.
Popup will be shown next time player connects to the server.

Edit: Must mention, that it happens not only when someone kills you using kill. I found out about this bug when joined the server and was falling from 20 blocks with half of a heart, which means that the problem might be with the way Minecraft treat popups of this kind.

According to @Lunarian, that also happens on the latest snapshot, so I added it to the task. (btw, thanks a lot for uploading clear, short and high-quality video

Affects 1.20.1.
My [^server.properties]

cannot confirm
Edit: nevermind, i can confirm it now
Can confirm. 1.19.4 / 23w13a.
Steps:
Added video 23w13a_MC-261502.mp4
@Lunarian
. It shows this problem really clearly.
Thanks a lot for uploading clear, short and high-quality video
Fixed in 23w31a, as the player cannot die (or even join the world) while the prompt is visible in that version.
