Shulker boxes still push entities too far, despite previous fixes
MC-220215 is listed as fixed, yet the problem still persists. Before version 1.17, sideways shulker boxes didn't cause players to fall, as shown in the attached videos. However, currently players will fall off the block they're standing on unlike before 1.17. Entities were simply changed to be pushed precisely 0.11 blocks away from the shulker box every tick.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Recreate the following setup:
- Stand on the white wool, pressed up against the shulker box
- Open the box
Observed Behavior:
The player is pushed off the block entirely, roughy 1/16th of a block outward from the wool.
Expected Behavior:
The player would only be pushed 0.5 blocks away, and would be on the ledge of the wool.

MC-220215 still not fixed in 24w10a! 1 (the fix was a hoax).mp4

Notes:
- This behavior is not exclusive to horizontal movement, as it also behaves the same when standing on top of the shulker box and opening it facing upwards.
Created Issue:
MC-220215 is not fixed, shulker boxes still push entities too much
MC-220215is listed as fixed, yet the problem persists without any actual resolution. Before version 1.17, sideways shulker boxes didn't cause players to fall, as evidenced in various videos. However, presently, they result in players falling off the block they're standing on unlike before 1.17. The shulker box pushes entities a full block instead of the expected half block. The so-called "fix" seems to be a scam, as entities were simply changed to be pushed precisely 0.11 blocks away from the shulker box every tick. While I'm not a game programmer, it seems unfair to mislead players by claiming to address an ongoing issue and not actually addressing it. This situation is especially disheartening for the original reporter of the bug. Notably, this problem persists even in version 21w19a. One can only wonder how the original reporter feels about this ongoing issue.

I cannot reproduce this in version 1.20.5 pre-release 1, the report can now be resolved as fixed.
Can you provide a video of you reproducing the issue? I'm curious, because I just reproduced it the other day.
[Mod] Jiingy I retested the bug, turns out I was testing the bug the wrong way. Anyways I can confirm in 1.20.5 pre-release 1.
Also affects 1.20.5 pre-release 2.
