At a certain distance, you can't right click a bed in MP. But you do see the collision box. When I get closer I can sleep.

Either the collision box shouldn't be visible or you should be able to sleep from that distance.
I believe it is because you can't get into a bed from 12 feet away IRL. Logic. However I do think this could be a feature request.
too bad I can't change the 'type' anymore. Anyway, let's hear what a mod has to say about this.
You also can't punch things from 12 feet away IRL. Minecraft isn't real life.
I agree this should be changed, it's inconsistent with other things you right-click to activate.
This tracker is for bugs, not feature requests.
